Jeana Carol Murphy Bush, 60, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, at the Hospice Home of High Point, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on May 31, 1965, in Pikeville, Kentucky, to Charles Edward Murphy and Barbara “JoAnn” Murphy, Jeana’s life was marked by deep devotion to those she loved and an unwavering strength that carried her through every season of life.
Jeana dedicated her life to caring for her home and her family. As a homemaker, she poured love, intention, and quiet resilience into everything she did. She had a natural warmth that made people feel welcomed and understood, and she carried a gentle spirit that left a lasting impact on everyone blessed to know her.
She is survived by her husband, Emmit “Duke” Bush; her children—Harry Dewayne Lively Jr., Christopher Edward Stiltner, Matthew Lee Stiltner, and her daughter, Jennifer Lively, who remained faithfully by her side; as well as her brothers Michael Lee Murphy and Johnny Murphy. She is also survived by her sisters Tina Doris Buzzard and Tona Sue Murphy, and by numerous grandchildren who were a constant source of pride and joy in her life.
Jeana was preceded in death by her brother Charles David Murphy.
Those who loved Jeana will remember her as a woman of quiet strength, deep compassion, and boundless love—a mother whose presence brought comfort, a sister whose loyalty never wavered, and a grandmother whose heart had room for every child who called her “Mamaw.”
Her passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her legacy of love, resilience, and family devotion will continue to guide the hearts of those she leaves behind.
The family will forever cherish the memories they hold, finding peace in knowing that Jeana is now at rest and watching over them with the same love she carried throughout her life.
