Jeanette Black Mahon

Jeanette “Tootie” Black Mahon, age 63, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Thomasville Medical Center.  Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Holly Grove Lutheran Church with Pastor Matt Smith officiating.  A private inurnment will follow.  Visitation will be held at the church from 12:30 to 1:30 pm before the service.  Jeanette was born on January 28, 1955 in Davidson County, NC to Raymond Theodore Black and Louise Clemmons Black.  She was a member of Holly Grove Lutheran Church.  At one time she was involved with the church youth program.  Jeanette was a 1973 graduate of East Davidson High School where she was an Eaglette.  She had a passion for shagging and listening to beach music.  Jeanette was a cashier at Cedar Lodge grocery store in Thomasville where she loved meeting and talking with the customers.  Surviving is her loving husband of the home, Kelly Mahon; daughter Nichole Mize (fiance  Pete Bolduc) of High Point; sister, Karen Beck (Robin) of Lexington; one grandchild, Max Mize Bolduc, who was the apple of her eye; and nephew, Chris Beck (Emily) and niece, Anissa Stewart (Kevin) .  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holly Grove Lutheran Church c/o Building Fund, 212 Holly Grove Lutheran Church Road, Lexington, NC 27292.
