Jeanette Michael Shoaf

August 22, 1926 — March 18, 2019

Jeanette Michael Shoaf, age 92, of Lexington passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Wake Forest Baptist Health Lexington Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Reeds Baptist Church with Pastor Henry Watterson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Mrs. Shoaf was born in Davidson County on August 22, 1926 to Randall Marshall Michael and Catherine Susan Michael. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her memory will be cherished by her family and friends forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Flynn Michael and Forrest Michael; and her twin sister, Geneva Michael Snider.

Surviving are her son, Chon Regan Shoaf (Beverly) of Chapel Hill; her daughter, Janice Layne Jauregui (John) of Marietta, GA; her sister, Connie Michael Forrest of Lexington; four grandchildren, Jacqui Jackson (Jeff), Jessica Ferrell (Jason), Chon Regan Shoaf II (Donna Hardee) and JoAnna Shoaf Pomerantz (Seth); seven great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the Reeds Baptist Church Kitchen Fund at 180 Reeds Baptist Church Road, Lexington, NC 27295 or to Meals on Wheels at 104 E. Center Street, Lexington, NC 27292.
