Jeanie Childress, age 75 of Lexington, NC passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, at Atrium Health Pineville.

Jeanie was born in Davidson County, April 4, 1949, to Willard Copus Fleming and Easter Everhart Fleming. Jeanie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to everyone she met. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bobby Ray Childress and son, Bobby Lee Childress. She was a member at Westside Baptist Church, where she loved serving her LORD.

Surviving are her son, Danny Ray Childress, daughter Renee Wilburn (Dennis), brother Kenny Fleming (Lavonda), sisters, Rhonda Varker (Joe), Cheryl Fleming, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024,at 11 a.m. at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel officiated by Pastor Jason Koontz. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church, 225 Liberty Ave., Thomasville, NC 27360.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm, Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, 301 N. Main Street, Lexington, NC 27292.

In leu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westside Baptist Church, 150 Charles Ave., Lexington, NC 27295.
