Jeanne Moore Trexler, age 81 of Centerclair Nursing Home, formerly of NC Highway 47 Lexington passed away Tuesday (July 6, 2010). Funeral service will be held Friday (July 9, 2010) 11:00 am at First Reformed United Church of Christ with Dr. Walter Patten officiating. Burial will follow at Beck’s Reformed Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday and at other times at the home of son Ike Trexler, Frontier Drive, Lexington.
Jeanne was born in Rowan County July 20, 1928 to Horace W. Moore and Vada Kenerly Moore. She was a retired secretary with the North Carolina Department of Correction. She was a member of First Reformed UCC, former choir member, Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher. Also she took great pride in knitting caps, blankets and shawl’s for the newborns for the Neonatal Department of Lexington Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph “Joe” Alexander Trexler, Jr. who passed away November 14, 2006.
Surviving are; one daughter, Marian T. Rose and husband David of Greenville, SC; two sons, J.A. “Ike” Trexler, III and wife Judy and Steven W. Trexler and wife Debbie all of Lexington; six grandchildren, Jennifer Comer and husband Jason, Wesley Trexler, Jeannie Rose, Ed Rose and wife Stephanie, Mary Trexler and WayneTrexler; two great-grandchildren, Sammy Comer and Addy Comer.
