Jeannie Louise Leffew Collins

Jeannie Louise Leffew Collins, 58, of Westside Drive, died Monday, October 12, 2015, at Hinkle Hospice House. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Pastor Chris Holbrook officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 16, and other times at the home of her niece, Ashley Leonard on Brentwood Drive. Mrs. Collins was born May 21, 1957, in Davidson County, to J.W. Leffew and Mary Lou Divney. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Allen Troy Collins. Surviving are her son, Gary Adam Collins of Lexington; daughter, Christina Kennedy of Thomasville; two grandchildren, Blaize Kennedy and Jayzen Barnes; her mother, Mary Lou Divney Leffew of Lexington; brothers, Steven Leffew of Thomasville, Charlie Leffew of Denton, David Leffew, Johnathan O’neil Leffew, both of Lexington, and David Wayne Leffew of Greensboro; and sisters, Cathy Gordon of Thomasville, Elizabeth Coble, Pam Church and Laurie Leffew, all of Lexington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Special Olympics, P.O. Box 1067, Lexington, NC 27293.
