Jeffrey "Jeff" Steve Gobble

Jeffrey Steve Gobble, age 58 of Quiet Drive, Lexington passed away Thursday July 16, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center after a sudden illness. A Celebration of his life will be held 11:00 am Monday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Duncan Martin and Darrin Everhart officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 4:00 until 7:00 pm Sunday. Jeff was born in Davidson County February 20, 1957 to Lester and Sarah Ruth McCarn Gobble. He was a graduate of Lexington Senior High School; a graduate of UNC Charlotte with a BS in 1979 and NC A & T University with a Master in Education Degree. Jeff taught 7th grade Social Studies at North Davidson Middle School and had been employed with Davidson County Schools for 34 years. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and served as Chairman of the Administrative Council and was an avid Tar Heel fan. Jeff is survived by his wife, Tina Morgenson Gobble of the home; sons, Ryan Gobble of Charlotte and Keelan Gobble of the home; sister, Evelyn Everhart (Sonny) of Lexington; brothers, Frank Gobble (Bonnie) and Thomas “Tommy” Gobble (Judy) all of Lexington. several nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
