Jerry Allan York

Jerry Allan York, 59, Lake St., Lexington died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015 in Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after an illness of one month. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, August 10, 2015 in Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Grady officiating. Burial will follow in Galilee Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday, August 9, 2015 at the funeral home and other times at the home of the daughter at 382 Will Hunt Road. Mr. York was born September 25, 1955 in San Bernardino, CA to Joan Russell York. He was a former employee of Park Dale Mills. Preceding him in death was his parents. Surviving are his wife, Cynthia Dawn Mize York of the home.; three sons, John Paul York (Diana) of Lexington, Ryan Mize (Aine) of Texas, Brandon Mize (Candy) of Randleman; two daughters, Jessie Michael (Jacob), Emily York and companion, Scotty both of Lexington; six grandchildren, Jeremiha York, Benjamin York, Gracie York, Jordyn Michael, James Michael, Landon Mize; and a brother, Danny York of Fayetteville.
