Jerry Wayne Brooks

Jerry Wayne Brooks age 62 of Lakeshore Ave., Lexington died Friday, April 9, 2010 in Lexington Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, April 12, 2010 at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Sunday, April 11, 2010 at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, and other times at the home on Lakeshore Ave. Mr. Brooks was born May 18, 1947 in Surry County to John Robert Brooks, Sr. and Ada Mae Thorpmorton Brooks. He was a Truck Driver and was of the Baptist faith. His parents, a sister, Lettie Kathleen McMillian and a brother, Anderson Calvin Brooks preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife Dianna Maness Brooks of the home; four daughters, Gloria Jean Huffman of Greensboro, Tammy Annette Brower of Randleman, Jeri Lynn Martin of Liberty, Sandy Marie Brooks of Lexington; 7 grandchildren, two brothers, John Robert Brooks, Jr. of Lexington, Charles Ray Brooks of Greensboro and two sisters, Irene Saferight, and Carolyn Ann Gregory both of Liberty. Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is serving the family.
