Jerry Franklin Ferrell, Sr.

Jerry Franklin Ferrell, Sr. (Papa), age 83, of Midway, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2024, with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Jessica Ferrell.

Jerry was born on April 11, 1940, in Raleigh, North Carolina, to Bertie Jackson Ferrell and Marie Langley Ferrell. He spent 42 years in the printing industry and worked for PBM Graphics as well as other printing companies. After retiring he worked many years for Industries for the Blind.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years; Jessie Ferrell, sons; Jerry Ferrell Jr. (Melinda) of Lexington and Jason Ferrell (Tammy) of Midway, daughter; Jamie Wimer (Tim) of Roanoke, grandchildren; Jenna King (Gary), Chloe Daiuto (Harrison), Kayla Marshall (William), Justin Ferrell, Ashleigh Ferrell (Logan), Jordan Holland, Sidnie Holland, Ryan Ferrell, Reagan Ferrell and six great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21 from 6-8 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Lexington with Dave McKissick officiating.
