Jerry Foy

Jerry Wayne Foy, age 78, of Lexington passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with the Rev. Richard Johnson officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Foy was born in Guilford County on January 4, 1941 to James Henry Foy and Bernice Bost Foy. He was a retired lineman, having worked for GTE Electric and was a veteran of the US Marines. Mr. Foy was also the Unit Commander of the Davidson County Young Marines, always took pride in helping with the Toys for Tots and was a member of the Marine Corps League. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Foy, Thomas Foy, Calvin Foy, and John Carl Foy; and two sisters, Audrey Fenress and Pat Toomes.

Surviving are his loving wife, Paula Cheryl Cravens Foy of the home; one son, Brian David Foy; two daughters, Kari Foy Haynes (Chris) of Greenville and Janet Foy Langham (Samuel Jay) of Fredericksburg, VA; three sisters, Barbara Vaden, Junie Bell Poe and Sandra Clark; five grandchildren, Jeffery McDaniel, Kristin Casey, Tyler Casey, Gage Langham and TJ Langham; and a host of nieces and nephews.
