Jerry Lee Hodges, 84, of Twin Acres Drive, died Sunday, Nov. 3, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.
The family will see friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
A memorial service will be held at 11am Friday, December 6 at First Reformed United Church of Christ. An inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
Jerry was born Jan. 19, 1940, in Rocky Mount, Va., to Archie Lee Hodges and Margaret Caroline Hodges. He was a retired furniture manufacturing executive and consultant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Merle Leonard Hodges, and a son-in-law, Jim Earnhardt.
Surviving are his daughter, Leigh Hodges Earnhardt of Rockwell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike Hodges (Chris) and Steve Hodges (Vikki), all of Lexington; and two nephews, Chad Hodges and Bryan Hodges (Rachele), all of Lexington. Also surviving are his sister-in-law, Rhonwen Leonard Newton of Columbia, S.C.; two nieces, Blair Jones (Gordon) of Clinton, N.Y., and Allison Satchell of Easton, Md.; and nephew, Dr. Willoughby Brockenbrough Newton III (Rhett) of Winston-Salem.
Also surviving are his four “other daughters,” Kier Peterson (Justin), Lauren Gagliardino (Billy), Jesse Mraz (Luke) and Samantha Hegseth.
