Jerry Kay Knox

Jerry Knox, 87, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, at Hinkle Hospice House.

A graveside service will be held, 2:00 PM, Friday, April 10, 2026, at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Glenn Gunter officiating.

Visitation will be at 1:00 to 1:45 Friday April 10, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home.

Jerry was born on November 28, 1938, in Guilford County, North Carolina, to P.T. Knox and Lena Knox. A man of strong faith, he was of the Baptist faith and lived his life guided by those values. Jerry was a dedicated and hardworking individual who spent many years employed with Person Furniture Company.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alice Jane Knox, and his stepson, Craig Callwick.

He is survived by his loving family, including his son, Joey Knox (Joyce), daughter, Janet Knox Sartori , stepdaughter, Dawn Kolwyck Wise, grandchildren, Brandi, Matthew, Elizabeth, Kaitlyn, Jonathon, Courtney and Eric, great-grandchildren, Landon, Austin, Harper, Kassidee, Konner, Gavin, Kennedy, Millie, Mattie and Declan, Beckett, brother, Jackie Knox, and sister Jean Taylor (Rex). He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.

Jerry will be remembered for his quiet strength, his devotion to his family, and the simple, steady way he lived his life.
