Jerry Lane Leonard

Jerry Lane Leonard age 77 of Lanier Road, Lexington passed away Friday December 22, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice House.   A Graveside service will be 3:30 pm Tuesday December 26, 2017 at Reeds United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Billy Sink  and burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm prior to the graveside service at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home.   Mr. Leonard was born March 7, 1940 in Davidson County to Adam Lee  Leonard and Helen Essick Leonard. He was retired from Davidson County Schools Bus Garage  as a mechanic. He was an  avid hunter and fisherman . His parents and a brother, Cotton Leonard preceded him in death.   Surviving are his loving wife, Brenda  Phillips Leonard of the home. A son, Jeffrey Dane Leonard and significant other, Melissa Lambert of Lexington. Also surviving are a sister in law, Linda Leonard of Lexington.   The family request no flowers and memorials may be made to the donors choice.
