Jerry Lee Lanier, 81 of Lexington went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at his home. A funeral service will be held 11am Friday, December 3rd at Victory Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Mabe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm on Thursday, December 2nd at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington. Mr. Lanier was born March 14, 1940, in Davie County to Ray Holt Lanier and Janice Bailey Lanier. Jerry worked in the furniture industry after his military service and became a plant manager of multiple plants until retiring from Lexington Home Brands. After retirement, he started a picture framing business (South Davidson Frameworks) at his residence. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church where he also served as a Deacon and longtime Sunday school teacher. Jerry loved hunting rabbits with his beagles and spending time with other people, but his first love was for his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ray Holt, June, Don, Horace and Carlyle Lanier and sister, Cathy Lanier. Surviving is his loving wife of 59 years, Pauline Lanier of the home; sons, Jerry Lanier, Jr. and Kenneth Wayne Lanier (Suyapa), both of Lexington; brothers, Eddie Lanier (Barbara), Bobby Lanier (Tonya), and Tony Lanier, all of Welcome and Keith Lanier (Trish) of Mocksville; sisters, Rita Motsinger of Thomasville, Betty Robbins (Jerry) of Linwood, Rhonda Wilson of Lexington and three grandchildren, Naomi, Kenneth and Zachary Trey Lanier.
