Jerry Lopp

Jerry Milton Lopp, 78, of Second Rainbow Street, died Monday, December 31, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.   The funeral will be 2pm Friday, January 4 at Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church, where he was a member, by the Rev. David Robinson. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday, January 3 at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.    Mr. Lopp was born March 23, 1940 in Davidson County to Stephen Meade Lopp and Otelia Viola Leonard Lopp. He retired from Coble Dairy and later worked for Linwood Furniture.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Rose Everhart Lopp, his son, Jerry Timothy Lopp, his brother, Leonard Lopp and his sister, Joann Lopp.   He is survived by his son, Michael Lopp of Lexington; his daughter, Karen Elliott and husband, David, of Lexington; his grandchildren, Shane Hunt and wife, Melissa, Chris Elliott and wife, Shannon, Curt Ross and wife, Christie, Allen Lopp, Farrah Lopp, and Taryn Lopp; and his great-grandchildren, Caleb Ross, Mason Elliott, Riley Elliott, Marley Hunt, and Camden Ross.  He is also survived by his brothers, Steve Lopp and wife Evelyn, Ronnie Lopp and wife Libby, both of Lexington; his sister, Janice Moree and husband Butch; and his special friends, Doris and Wayne Morrison.   The family would like to thank Crystal and Rick Truell for all of their love and support.    Memorials may be made to Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church, 214 Andrew Sink Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
