Jerry Wayne Manns

Jerry Wayne Manns, age 67 of Hill Road, Lexington passed away Monday afternoon, August 19, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, August 22, 2019 at North Lexington Baptist Church with Rev. Gavin Pratt and Dr. Robert Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service.

Jerry was born in Davidson County May 8, 1952 to Luther Giles Manns and Lois Doston Floyd Manns. He was a member of North Lexington Baptist Church and a retired employee of Smurfit-Stone Container after 33 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his loving wife, Virginia Essick Manns of the home; son, Terry Wayne Whitman of Lexington; three grandchildren, Haven, Christian and Billy; sisters, Karen Smith of Trinity and Sharon Bennett of Salisbury; brother, Lonnie Manns of Trinity.
