Jerry Max Tysinger

Jerry Max Tysinger, 80, of Michael Drive, died Sunday, December 6 at High Point Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held 2pm Thursday, December 10 at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.

Mr. Tysinger will lie in state from 1-5 pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home.

He was born May 12, 1940 in Davidson County to James Wilbur Tysinger and Florence Thomason Tysinger. He retired from Binnings Buildings Products and later worked for Summer Industries. He was an active member of Spruce Street Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School superintendent. He was also very active in the music ministry of his church, where he played bass guitar for many years. His brothers, Terry, Don, and Steve Tysinger, and his sisters, Viola Hartley, Frances Hepler, Betty Martin, Sandra Richardson, and Brenda Noles, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Widener Tysinger of the home; his daughter, LaVonda Fleming (Kenny) of Lexington; his son, Jerry Lane Tysinger (Jennifer) of Lexington; his brothers, Larry Tysinger (Harriett) of Lexington, and Jimmy Tysinger (Vicky) of Archdale; and his sisters, Shirley Martin, and Diane Allison (Sammy), both of Lexington; his grandchildren, Jeremy Fleming (Amanda), Jodie Weavil (Joe), Kimbralyn Tysinger and CeAna Tysinger; and his great grandchildren, Cale and Cain Weavil.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spruce Street Baptist Church Missionary Fund, 407 Spruce Street, Lexington NC 27292
