Jerry Michael Moore Sr.

Jerry Michael Moore Sr., 77, of Highway 47, died Monday, September 22, 2014, at Hinkle Hospice House. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014, and other times at the home. Mr. Moore was born September 3, 1937, in Davidson County, to David Michael Moore and Lena Ann Kepley Moore. He retired as a plumber with Michael Plumbing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Waisner Moore; and a brother, Joe Moore. Surviving are sons, Mike Moore and wife, Staci, Shannon Moore and wife, Brandi, all of Lexington; daughter, Bridgett Chaffin and husband, Jason, of Lexington; step-son, Alan Thompson and wife, Judy of Sophia; grandchildren, Cassi Moore-Tate, Seth Moore, Amanda Chaffin, Jake Chaffin, Rilee Moore, Shane Moore, Deborah Baker and Alan Thompson Jr.; and several great-grandchildren.
