Jerry Wayne Owen

Jerry Wayne Owen 65 of Lexington died Thursday (December 24, 2009) at his home.   Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday (December 28, 2009) at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with the Rev. James Messer and Rev. John Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with Military graveside rites.   Mr. Owen was born on October 4, 1944 in Davidson County to Henry Atlas Owen and Leenetta Cook Owen.  He was a retired supervisor with Harrison & Covington Hosiery and was of the Baptist faith.  Mr. Owen also served in the U. S. Army.   Surviving are his wife Hazel Edwards Owen of the home;  daughters Sherry Lynn Sellers and husband Tim of Lewisville and Patricia Ann Lambeth and husband William of Lexington; four grandchildren; Brad Carter, Robbie Britt, Kasey Sellers and Jessica Dunn; four great-grandchildren;  four sisters; Goldie Doman & husband Dewitte, Brenda Hilliard and husband Gary, Christine Saddler and husband Steve and Darlene Burns and companion Wade Taylor, all of Lexington.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday night at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and other times at the home.     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
