Jerry Oliver Sherman, Jr.

Jerry Oliver Sherman Jr., 39, of Lexington and formerly of Woodvery Drive, Liberty, died Monday January 7th, after several years of illness. Mr. Sherman was born February 3, 1968 in Long Beach, CA to Nona Phillips Mullies and Jerry Oliver Sherman Sr. He was of the Baptist faith and had previously worked as a carpet installer. Survivng are his wife Alice Woods Sherman of Liberty; his mother Nona Mullies and husband Bobby of Stuart, Va., his father Jerry Oliver Sherman Sr. and wife Darlene of Lexington; two sons Jeremy Sherman of Liberty, and Joshua Sherman of Myrtle Beach, SC; two daughters Ashley Sherman and Amy Sherman both of Myrtle Beach, SC; a granddaughter Jatye Marie Sherman; a step-son Jesse Cranfill; and a step-daughter Brandy Cranfill; and two step-sisters Shannon Peters and husband Nathan of Thomasville; and Bobbie Jo Wheeler and husband Brian of Tyro. There will be no funeral service.
