Jerry Dan Surratt was called to join his Heavenly Father on August 6,2026 at the age of 74

He is survived by the love of his life, Betty Surratt

Madison Ezzo, Sasha Raner (Jacob), Sammie Yu(Ana), Kaytie Jones(Bryt) Jordyn(Erika) Trey Surratt,

This is the story of our number One

The one we could always count own. The one who always listened to both sides. The one who would hold you tight when you were sad. The one who loved all his family without judgement. The one who sacrificed his time to help even after working double shifts. The one who would sing silly songs to his grand-babies. The one who gave freely and never ask anything in return.

If you walk to the carport; you will find him sitting quietly by the fan on a hot summer day holding his wife's hand.

You will see him sitting in his rocking chair, enjoying a " Miss Winston", watching the hummingbirds.

You will see him riding his tractor because he loved to be outside.

You will find him with one of his children, grandchildren or great grandchildren sitting on his lap.

You will hear him talk about fishing and hunting.

You will hear him singing Jesus Loves Me.

He has joined his Heavenly Father, walking on the streets of gold;smiling down at us. If you listen closely to the whistles in the wind you can hear him say; don't cry for me, live for the lord, love each other unconditionally. Take care of the love of my life and we will meet again rejoicing for all eternity with our Savior

He was and will always be our Number one.

The family expresses their sincere gratitude to our Hospice Nurses - Becky and Sandy for the loving care provided to our family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday August 10, 2026 at 1 pm Yadkin College Baptist Church 1275 North Koontz Road Lexington NC 27295
