Jesse Ray Forrest, 66, of Tussey Road, died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at his home following a six month serious illness.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Testimonial Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Carl Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mr. Forrest was born August 14, 1945, in Davie County, to Abram Allen Forrest and Gladys Carolyn Hege Forrest. He was a machine operator at Brayton International of High Point. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Allen Forrest.
Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Judith “Judy” Milner Forrest of the home; sons, Christopher “Chris” Forrest and wife Anita, and Kyle Shane Forrest, both of Lexington; grandchildren, Courtney Forrest Hanney and husband Christopher of Salisbury, Camee Forrest, Alexander Scott Forrest, Coral Forrest, Dillon Forrest, all of Lexington and Lane Forrest of Germany; three step-grandchildren, Jennifer Riffe, Nathanial Cassar and Amelia Cassar; and sister, Janice Jenkins and husband, John.
