Jessie Hill

Jessie Junior Hill 85 of Canary Drive, Lexington, died Tuesday morning at his home. A Funeral Service will be 3:00 pm Thursday January 15, 2009 at Jersey Baptist Church where he was a member conducted by Rev. Michael Collier and burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Hill was born March 27, 1923 in Davidson County to Burt and Ada Cross Hill. He was retired from Gordon Veneer as a truck driver. He honorably served his country in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Clifford, William (Bill), Leon and Percy Hill. Surviving are his wife, Edda Ortilli Hill of the home. One son, Jimmy Hill and wife Trudy of Lexington. One daughter, Barbara Sue Byerly and Fiance, Marvin Tuttle of Mocksville. Four Grandchildren, Todd Hill and wife Kim of Rockwell, Brandy Spainhour and husband Ramie of Lexington, Steven Byerly and wife Susan of Roxboro and Capria Whitlock and husband Ron of Advance. Six Great Grandchildren A brother, Otis (Bunny) Hill of Lexington: Stepbrother Donald Hill of Lexington and a Stepsister, Olene King of High Point The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
