James “Jim” Walter Clement, 76, of Lexington passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, May 16, 2021 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with the Rev. Alex Nance officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. All covid-19 related precautions will be followed.
Jim was born in Rowan County on February 24, 1945 to James Walter Clement, Sr. and Ruby Swicegood Clement. He was a foreman, having worked for Link Taylor, Carolina Dry Kiln, and retired from Central Lumber Co. Jim was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Saunders.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Susan Charles Clement of the home; two sons, Jeff Clement (Lori) of Lexington and Michael Clement of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Jennifer Beeker of Lexington; a brother, Randall Clement of Salisbury; three sisters, Patti Allman (Wayne) of Salisbury, Becky Leonard, and Janet Saunders both of Lexington; and four grandchildren, Carson Clement Creason (Rob), and Preston, Olivia and Emerson Beeker.
