Jim Craver

James Arthur “Jim” Craver, Jr., age 72, of Lexington passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at his sister’s home in Williston, SC.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, October 14, 2019 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Rodney Merrill. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service and other times at the homes on Waitman Road, Lexington and Lakeview Drive, Thomasville

Mr. Craver was born February 26, 1947 in Davidson County to James Arthur Craver, Sr. and Lillian Alexander Craver.  He attended Ashemore Business College and High Point University and was a graduate of Brevard College .  He owned and operated N & S Produce for many years and later retired from Goodwill Industries.  Jim was a member of Lexington Church of God and a member of Reeds Civitan Club. His wife, Velma Morrison Craver, and his sister-in-law, Linda Morrison, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son, Scott Craver (Carrie); his daughter, Annette King (Coy) of Thomasville; his sister, Josephine “Jo” Thomason (Mark) of Williston, SC; his brother, Eddie Craver (Gloria) of Tega Cay, SC; his step-sons, Dale Barrett (Laura), Rodney Barrett and Keith Barrett (Patsy) all of Lexington; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and his brothers-in law, Larry Morrison, Wayne Morrison (Doris) and Brady Morrison (Gloria), all of Lexington.
