Jim Parnell

James Boyd Parnell, age 91, of NC Highway 150, Lexington passed away Friday at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Services will be private.

Jim was born in Davidson County, May 2, 1930 to Sidney Boyd Parnell and Minnie Barnes Parnell. He was retired from Burlington Industries, but his first love was Farming. He was a member of Tyro United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Doris Swicegood Parnell and son-in-law Freddie Mock.

Surviving are his daughters, Vicky Mock and Jan Pickett (Cliff) of Lexington; grandsons, Joseph Pickett and Jacob Mock (Katie), great-granddaughter, Eliza Mock.
