Jimbo Craver

James “Jimbo” Harold Craver, Jr., age 69, of Lexington passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Burial will follow in the Lexington City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Craver was born in Davidson County on August 28, 1950 to James “Sheep” Harold Craver, Sr. and Pearl Eller Craver. He was shop supervisor for Rogers Builders in Charlotte and was a veteran of the US Army. Jimbo was a loving father and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Lacy “Andy” Anderson Craver; three sisters, Doris Mills Harvell, Janet Cope and Frances Thomason.

Left to cherish his memory are his five children, Cathy Everhart (Johnny), Melissa Purdue (Timmy), Zachary Jurney, Reba Jurney and Melissa Morgan; six grandchildren, Dylan Hobbs, Avery Purdue, Josh Everhart, Jake Everhart, Zac Purdue and Brooke Lampley; one great-granddaughter, Sophia Andrews; a host of nieces and nephews; his  K-9 companion, Little Bit; and his feline companion, Wilson.
