Jimbo Hill

August 16, 1949 — June 10, 2012

James "Jimbo" Bradley Hill Jr., 62, of Beckner Road, died Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem after a one-week illness. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pilgrim Reformed Church, where he was a member, by the Rev. Steve Disher. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mr. Hill was born Aug. 16, 1949, in Davidson County to James Bradley Hill and Irma Garner Hill. Jimbo graduated from Lexington Senior High School and then joined the U.S. Air Force. Upon completion of his military service he returned to Lexington and worked a number of years for Lexington Telephone Co. and later opened his own business, CPB Communications. Surviving are his wife, Debi Allen Hill of the home; daughters Yvette Koncz and husband Mark of Charlotte, Jamie Connotillo and husband Tom of Mooresville, Jessica Hill of Graham and Chelsea Hill of Lexington; stepson Michael Allen and wife Theresa of Wake Forest; four grandchildren, Milena and Nolan Koncz of Charlotte and Madison and Ryan Connotillo of Mooresville; three stepgrandchildren, Lauren, Hunter and Ashley Allen, all of Wake Forest; sister Rebecca Hill Ricks of Charlotte and her son, Britt Moose and wife Patti of Charlotte; and great-nephew Bryce of Charlotte. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilgrim Reformed Church, 797 Pilgrim Church Road, Lexington, NC 27295 or Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Cardiology, Development Office, P.O. Box 571021, Winston-Salem, NC 27157-1021, include Cardiology Department on the Memo line of your check when using this address. The family would like to thank the staff of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Baptist Hospital for the wonderful care and attention they gave Jimbo.
