Jimmie Albert Pegram, age 79 of Arden Drive, Thomasville passed away Thursday evening at High Point Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday at Fairmont Presbyterian Church with Rev. Randy Hall officiating. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Saturday night and at other times at the home of Charlene Warfford, 571 Shannon drive, Lexington.
Jimmie was born in Guilford County, NC to Thomas Albert and Margaret Slate Pegram. He was active and attended Fairmont Presbyterian Church; a retired employee of US Postal Service as a city mail carrier and a veteran of the US Air Force. He was an avid bowler, square dancer and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruby Shows.
Surviving are his daughters, Laura Fuller of Trinity and Susan Johnson (Dean) of Thomasville; son, Keith Pegram (Betsy) of High Point; wife Barbara Lewis Pegram of High Point; grandchildren, Amber, Jason and Amy; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; companion and significant other, Charlene Warfford of Lexington; sisters, Louise Hiatt of Charlotte and Betty Byrd of Thomasville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to Fairmont Presbyterian Church, 1510 Cotton Grove road, Lexington, NC 27292.
