Jimmie Brantley Sink, 76, of Sink Road, died Thursday, October 18, 2007, at Sunbridge of Lexington.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2007, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church cemetery by the Rev. Craig Saltzer. Following the service the family invites friends to attend a celebration of Mr. Sink’s life in the church fellowship hall.
Mr. Sink was born December 3, 1930 in Davidson County to Odell Sink and Zella Zimmerman Sink. He was a lifetime dairy farmer at the Piney Grove Farm. He was a member of the Davidson County Soil and Water, a very active member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and was a trustee. He was also a member of the North Carolina Farm Credit.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Libby Bailey Sink of the home; son, Keith Sink and wife, Teresa, of Lexington; daughters, Janet Smith and husband, Tracy and Linda Durham and husband, Tucson, all of Lexington; grandchildren, Nathan Sink, Jonathan Sink, Stacy Durham, Justin Durham, and Jonathan Ray; great-grandchildren, Avery Ray, Mackenize Sink, and Adi Sink; brother, Bruce Sink and wife, Shelby, of Lexington; and a sister, Nell Griffin of Burlington.
The family will receive friends at the home.
