Jimmy Carlton Barnes

James C. “Jimmy” Barnes, age 70 of Swicegood Road, Linwood passed away Friday morning at his home. A Funeral service will be held Monday evening at 7:00 pm (8-25-2008) at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Foster and Rev. Max Shoaf officiating. Burial will be private. Jimmy was born in Davidson County March 4, 1938 to Carl Wilbur Barnes and Lula Blanche Snider Barnes. He was a licensed plumber and self employed in water and sewer installation for the City of Salisbury. A member of Tyro United Methodist Church and preceded in death by his mother. Surviving are: father; Carl W. Barnes of Linwood, his fiancé; Lorraine Archer of the home, daughters; Carlann McCrary and husband Bruce and Wendy Wallace and husband Todd all of Linwood, seven grandchildren; Jade, Justin, Whitney and Adam Wallace, and Justin Brittany and Kimberly McCrary. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Monday from 5 until 6:30 prior to the service and at other times at the home.
