Jimmy Wayne Cable, 73 of Lee Smith Rd. Lexington, passed away Friday May 1, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
A service will be at 6:00 PM Monday at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Cartrette officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Monday prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home of his son, Clark Cable, on Swicegood Rd.
Mr. Cable was born in Davidson County April 2, 1942 to Rufus McKinney Cable and Naomi Moore Cable. He retired from Davidson County Schools and was a member of Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Walaska Jane Walker Cable in 2006, brother Paul Cable and sisters Norma Jean Healms, JoAnn Jones and Peggy Keller.
Surviving are his sons, Clark Wayne Cable (Michele) of Linwood, Jimmy Allen Cable (Deborah) of Denton and Jason Daniel Cable (Cassandra) of Thomasville, grandchildren Allen Cable, Joshua Cable (Paige) Matthew Cable (Lauren), Jeremy Cable, Kaitlyn Cable, Tiffany Cable and Miranda Mendoza and four great grandchildren, brother, Gary Cable of Lexington and sisters, Carolyn Johnson (Joe) of Farmington and Ruth McSwain (Frank) of Mocksville.
Memorial may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
