Jimmy Cline It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jimmy Lee Cline, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Jimmy passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23rd, 2024, at the age of 72, in his home in Linwood, NC. Born on Saturday, November 15th, 1952, in the beautiful hills of West Virginia, Jimmy was the cherished son of the late Bert Cline and Athalene Mae Hatfield Cline. He was also preceded in death by his three sisters, Judy Everhart, Addie White and Linda Cantrell and brother, Zandal Cline. Jimmy proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, a testament to his dedication and love for his nation. After his military service, he found his calling in sales, working for many years with Thomas, Erwin & Lambeth, where he was known for his integrity and commitment. A man of varied interests, Jimmy had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles, and he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as tending to his goats and chickens. His love for the open road and the tranquility of nature were reflections of his adventurous and nurturing spirit. Jimmy is survived by his devoted wife, Leda Zell Kenneda, who stood by his side through life's many journeys. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children: three sons, Reco Cline (Christie) of Lexington, Jake Cline (Chelsea) of Lexington, and William Cline of Linwood; and two daughters, Candi McIntyre of Linwood and Tabatha Blackburn (Richard) of West Virginia. He is also survived by his brother, Ernest Cline of Lexington, and one sister, B.J. Hagler of Thomasville. His memory will be cherished by his 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. A graveside service with military graveside rites will be held 2:00 pm December 30, 2024 at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with Pastor Herman Powell officiating, to honor Jimmy’s life and honor his memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to Davidson Funeral Home. Jimmy Lee Cline will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his service to his country, and his zest for life.
