Jimmy Lynn Cross

Jimmy Lynn Cross, 61, of Sunnyside Drive, died Sunday, August 28,2011, at Thomasville Medical Center. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jenna Grogan officiating. Burial will follow in Brook Hill Cemetery, Rockwell. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at the funeral home and other times at 519 Riverside Drive. Mr. Cross was born January 3, 1950, in Davidson County, to William Harvey and Mary Cross Harvey. He was a member of Johnsontown United Methodist Church in Thomasville and a former cook at Smokey Joes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Jean Benfield Cross, who died March 10, 2000. Surviving are his special friend, Debbie Boyd; daughter, Jennifer Cross of Thomasville; brother, Bill J. Cross of Lexington; and sister, Ann Fortner and husband, Howard, of Southmont.
