Jimmy Elias Harrelson, 75, of Sowers Road, died Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Novant Health – Rowan, following a sudden illness.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2013, at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with the Rev. David Wooten officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mr. Harrelson was born July 30, 1937, in Brunswick County, to Gurther Harrelson and Inez Gole Spivey. He was a former glass winder at PPG Industries and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
Surviving are his loving wife, Elizabeth Wilson Harrelson of the home; daughter, Ginger Rodriguez of Tabor City; step-son, William Elliott and wife Kathy of Tyro; step-daughters, Peggy Perry and husband Mark of Tyro, Barbara Tysinger and husband Wayne, Teresa Grubb and husband Samuel, Shirley Taylor and husband Bobby, all of Churchland, and Debbie Rome and husband Jeff of Salisbury; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
