Mr. Jimmy Clayborn Hege, 78, of Remer Regan Road, died Friday at Lexington Medical Center after a sudden illness. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 12 at Reedy Creek Church of Christ by Pastors James Percival and Jerry Williams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mr. Hege was born August 9, 1935 in Davidson County to Ruth Isabell Johnston. He retired from Possum Creek Auction Barn after 39 years of service and was a member of Reedy Creek Church of Christ. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather and was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Johnston. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy Ridge Hege of the home; his daughters, Angela Shelley (Kenneth) of Thomasville, and Amanda Hege of Lexington; a son, Lenny Hege of Lexington; his sister, Nellie Kennedy of Lexington; his grandchildren, Harold Blackburn, Markcus Blackburn, and Elizabeth Soles; ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
