Jimmy Sparks Honeycutt, 76, of S. County Home Road, died Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Hinkle Hospice House. It was his wish to donate his body to Wake Forest University School of Medicine. There will be no formal service. Mr. Honeycutt was born April 27, 1938, in Davidson County, to James Leroy and Myrtle Sparks Honeycutt. He retired from PPG on September 21, 2000, after 24 years of service and was a member of Beck’s Reformed Church of Christ. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed camping. On August 13, 1981, he married his loving wife of 33 years, Patricia Chandler Honeycutt, who survives of the home. Also surviving are his daughters, Terri Kimble and husband Doug of Winston-Salem, and Sherri Mize of Lexington; grandchildren, Clifton Mize and wife Audrianna, Kalee Mize, Jennifer Kimble Johnson, and `Ashley Kimble; sisters, JoAnn Jones and husband Jimmy, and Margaret Davis of High Point; stepsons, Tony, Roger and Tim Chandler, all of Lexington. Memorials may be made to Hinkle Hospice House/Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
