Jimmy Bennett Leonard

Jimmy Bennett Leonard, 82, of Welcome Bethesda Road, died Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Bethesda United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Danny Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church. Mr. Leonard was born October 27, 1933, in Davidson County, to Harvey Leonard and Sadie Gobble Leonard. He was retired from Wellington Hall where he had worked in the finishing room. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Latham Leonard and daughter, Barbara Gail Leonard. Surviving are daughter, Vickie Leonard Beeson of Lexington; grandson, Jason Leonard and wife, Candra; and great-grandson, Gavin Daniel Leonard.
