Jimmy Donald Mize

Jimmy Donald Mize, 91, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home with Reverend Lomax Skinner officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Mize was born December 25, 1930, in Davidson County to Howard Henry Mize and Julia Eliza Lanning Mize. He was a member of Pilgrim Reformed United Church of Christ and served his country in the United States Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Meredith Ann Harris Mize, and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie Canoy (Herman) of Sophia, Lisa Melton (Charles) of Lexington, and Donna Mize of Greensboro; three brothers, Murel Mize (Carolyn) of Lexington, Allen Mize (Jill) of Lexington, and Dennis Mize (Rhonda) of Lexington; two grandchildren, Steven Spangle (Amanda) and Herman Canoy Jr. (Amy); and two great-grandchildren, Kaylah and Katie.
