Jimmy was born in Forsyth County on March 23rd, 1948, to the late James Stacey Money Sr., and Mae Ayers Mayes, and was affectionately known as Jim, Jimmy, Sweet James, and many more; but his favorites were Dad and Papaw. Between traveling the country on a motorcycle and going on cruises, it is fair to say that Jimmy got to see the most beautiful parts of North America - visiting all 48 states of the mainland, 6 Provinces of Canada and even many parts of Mexico just on his Harley. During the prime riding years with Ronda, they were part of a bike group called the "Macedonia Angels"; the name came from the church they were long time members at, Macedonia United Methodist Church in Southmont. For many years, Jimmy was very involved with the Methodist Men’s group and organized a monthly "Poor Man Supper" to raise money for the church. Being a hard worker wasn't what he did, it is who he was. Founding JSM Electric, Inc. in 1984, he employed many people, wired many houses, and built many friendships over the past 41 years. With his hard work, his wife's business sense, and his two son’s natural abilities, they made a small family business into a well-known Electrical company. Even recently, he still made sure to go to the shop as often as possible because he loved to be a part of what he built. When Jimmy wasn't at work, traveling or at church, you could find him on his boat, fishing, or at the Madhouse - aka Bowman Gray. And if you didn't already know, Ford is the best; all you had to do was ask him. But the only thing on earth that was more important than anything above was his family. Being married to the love of his life for 47 years, raising two independent and hard-working sons, loving his beautiful granddaughters and daughter-in-law; there is no doubt about the strong legacy that is left behind. In addition to his parents, Mr. Money is preceded in death by is his dear wife of 47 years, Ronda Faye Lanning Money; sisters: Rachel Matthews, and husband Tony, Linda Williams and husband Bill; Stepdad, Clyde Mayes; along with many other family members and friends.
He is survived by his two sons, James Stacey Money III, Jeremy Money and wife Liz; two grandkids: Eden Money and Jillian Money; a special great-nephew, Chase Rhodes and wife Sydney; his special friend, Pat Lambeth; and a host of family and friends left to cherish his memory.
