Jimmy Prince

James “Jimmy” David Prince, age 71, of Lexington passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Friendship United Methodist Church with Pastor Doug Pryor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic rites.   The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service.   Mr. Prince was born on July 30, 1945 in Columbus County to Henry Weldon Prince and Evelyn Buffkin Prince. Mr. Prince was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and enjoyed anything to do with Elvis, and was a member of Masonic Lodge 473. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Earl Prince; his sister, Judy Prince Ribelin; and his granddaughter, Jessica Hope Prince.   Surviving are his loving wife, Henrietta Shoaf Prince of the home; his son, David Wayne Prince and wife Kimberly of Lawrenceville, GA; and his grandson, Matthew Jesse Prince also of Lawrenceville, GA.   Memorials may be directed to Friendship United Methodist Church at 2840 Friendship Church Road Lexington, NC 27295 or to Hospice of Davidson County at 200 Hospice Way Lexington, NC 27292.
