Jimmy Gray Tolbert age 54 of Concrete Works Road, Winston-Salem passed away peacefully on, Thursday evening in Forsyth Medical Center after declining health of 5 years.
A service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be 2:00PM Saturday May 30, at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel, conducted by Dr. Pete Taylor and Rev. David Neese, burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Jimmy was born November 5, 1954 to Marvin Gray and Lois Marie Tolbert who preceded him in death. He was a retired employee of Owens-Illinois manufacturing. He was an avid hunter, and fisherman, and also enjoyed Nascar racing and football.
Surviving are his partner Marie Timperlake of the home; daughter Gina Tolbert Rutledge and husband Jamie of Winston Salem; brother Ronnie Joe Tolbert and wife Penny of Winston Salem; two grandsons, Aydan William and Eli Gray Rutledge and a nephew and niece, Carson and Meghan Oleksa.
Visitation will be 6-8 Friday 5-29-2009 at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel, 858 Hickory Tree Road, Winston-Salem NC and other times the family will be at the home of the daughter 2860 Shiloh Church Road, Winston-Salem NC.
