Jimmy Calvin Turner, 66, of N. NC Highway 150, died Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Forsyth Medical Center, following an extended illness.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Sister Emma Milam and the Rev. Roland Barnhardt officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Mr. Turner was born March 7, 1944, in Davidson County, to Maston Joshua “Joe” Turner and Ella Lee Hoyt Turner. He was employed at PPG for 29 years and a member of Meadowview Deliverance Tabernacle Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Maston Elford Turner; and a sister, Helen Margie Hill.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda Ileen Shoaf Turner of the home; daughter, Hope Holder and husband, Dwight, of Lexington; grandson, Mitchell Holder; and sister, Mary Lee Drake of Lexington.
