Jimmy Blake Wilkes

Jimmy Blake Wilkes, 86, of Old Burkhart Road in Lexington, passed away Sunday May 26, 2024 at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm Saturday June 1, 2024 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Rev. David Langley officiating services.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilkes was born September 25, 1937 in Bedford County Virginia to Sammie Sneed Shoffner. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and time with family. Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, his wife Ann Younts Wilkes; and two brothers, Tom and Ed Wilkes.

Surviving are two daughters, Audrey Surratt of Denton, and Sarah Klingensmith (Jay) of Trinity; 6 grandchildren, Blake, Molly, Jake, Johnathan, Nicholas and Jacob.
