Jinnie C. Weaver

Jinnie Catherine Craver Weaver, age 87, of Lexington passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at Alston Brook Nursing Home.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with family friend and caretaker, Gwen Norman speaking and singing. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service.   Mrs. Weaver was born in Davidson County on February 10, 1930 to Donovan Lee Craver Sr. and Ellen Jane Crotts Craver. She was retired from Duracell after 30 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Weaver Sr; a son, Keith Mize; two brothers; one sister; and a son in law, Lamar Whitley.    Surviving are her son, Jim Mize (Julie) of Lexington; her daughter, Judy Whitley of Lexington; five grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.   Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County at 200 Hospice Way Lexington, NC 27292.   The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff on Lillian’s Way Hall at Alston Brook Nursing Home.
