Jo An Cox Fritts

Jo An Cox Fritts, 77, of Hill Everhart Road, Lexington, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at her home.  Funeral services will be held at 5 pm Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at North Lexington Baptist Church with Rev. Gavin Pratt officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation with family and friends will be held from 4:00 until 5:00 pm at the church prior to the service and immediately following the service.  Mrs. Fritts was born on March 7, 1941 in Grayson County, VA to Joe Dwight Cox and Gency Cleo Brewer Cox.  She retired from Alleghany Hospital and was a member of North Lexington Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Susan Dawn Young.  Surviving are her loving husband, William Luther Fritts, of the home; a daughter, Shelia Hampton (Jim) of Eau Claire, WI; three sisters, and two grandchildren; Ryan and Erin Hampton.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 or North Lexington Baptist Church, 201 Mize Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
