Jo Elaine Smith

Jo Elaine Clements Smith 64 of Lexington passed away Wednesday February 22, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday at Canaan United Methodist Church where she was a member conducted by Pastor Jay Bowers. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will see friends from 3-5 pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel.

Mrs. Smith was born September 28, 1958, in Forsyth County to Elbert Carlton Clements and Phyllis  Tuttle Clements Merrell. Her son William Martin Smith IV and father preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband, William Martin Smith III of the home. Sons: Zebedee Daniel Smith (Meg) and their children, Cora Laine and Sawyer  Everett all of Belmont, NC and Corey Phillip Smith (Sang Mi ) and their children, Brandon Arry and Sophia Arri all of S. Korea. . Also surviving are her mother, Phyllis  Tuttle Clements Merrell of Lexington. Her brother, James  Clements (Gail Lynn) of Clemmons. Her sisters, Donna Mayes (Michael) of Clemmons, Mary Taylor (Greg) of Winston Salem and Tracy Wise (Chad) of Oklahoma. Also surviving are her two beloved fur babies, Tavere and Chloe.
