Joan Arnett

Joan Blevins Arnett, age 63, South Hwy 150, Lexington died Friday in Wake Forest U. Baptist Medical Center after several years of declining health. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Holshouser officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Arnett was born July 8, 1946 in Mogoffin County, KY to Sherman Blevins and Cliffie Holliday Blevins. A retired Registered Nurse with Thomasville Medical Center, she was a member of Calvery Baptist Church, Salisbury. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Victory Coffey and a sister, Wanda Lee Blevins. Surviving are her husband, Billy Wayne Arnett of the home, a son, Timothy Wayne Arrnett and wife, Amanda of Charlotte; a daughter, Bridgett Arnett Stubbs and husband, Brady of Gold Hill; two grandchildren, Dylan Wayne Stubbs, Ashley Daryl Stubbs; brothers, Gary Blevins of Marion, Ohio, James Blevins of Laporte, IN, sisters, Ruth Joseph of Marion, OH and Eva Holiday of Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME and other times at the home.
