Joan Myers Cope

Joan Myers Cope, 84, of Robert Street, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family. The memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Center Hill Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Lamar Moore. The burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the church following the service and other times at the home. Mrs. Cope was born September 22, 1929, in Davidson County, to Junius Hugh “Coon” Myers and Ethel Walser Myers. She was retired from Davidson County Government. Surviving are her husband, Robert Bruce Cope Sr. of the home; sons, Dr. Robert “Bob” Cope Jr. of Texas and William Cope and wife Pam of Advance; daughters, Vickie Allred and husband George of Hamptonville and Dr. Linda Bost and husband Roger of Statesville; four grandchildren, Zach Snyder, Lauren Livingston, Wil Cope, Zeb Cope, Keri Beth Livingston, and Victoria Snyder; great-grandchildren, Ezra Livingston and Jude Livingston; brothers, Austin Myers of Reeds and Rodney Myers of Cashiers; and sisters, Sue Wilkerson of Reeds and Frances Barney of Mocksville.
